Believe it or not, the internet is full of great news and information; particularly related to design, architecture, and development. And it gets fuller by the hour. Literally. So we’re starting a new segment here called the “Midweek Mashup” to collect our favorite findings; what we’ve been coming across lately. You know, the stuff that influences and inspire us as we research, study and waste entirely too much time on the internet. Each Wednesday we’ll post articles, links, news, and other information we come across that we enjoy. At the very least, we hope it might provide an entertaining break during those long, slow, hump day afternoons. Since this is our first edition, we’re keeping it local with some cool happenings.

1. Pharrell Williams is known for his skills as a rapper, singer, and producer. But with his latest project, the hit maker is teaming up with Oppenheim Architecture + Design to create a youth center in Virginia Beach. How amazing is this!?!

3. A new exhibit is opening July 2nd at Nauticus called the Labyrinth. What makes this worth mentioning? Well, Nauticus has partnered with Re:Vision Norfolk – a collective of forward thinkers and change makers in Norfolk (one of our head honchos is a member).  The group consists of talented young architects, industrial designers, graphic designers, engineers, artists, landscape architects, writers, musicians…you get the idea. This is a great showcase of local design talent.
